Govt. Model Sr. Sec School Rohru (Boys)

Govt. Model Senior Secondary School Rohru (Boys) situated at the bank of confluences of river Pabbar and Shikri surrounded by high hill mountain ranges, snow covered peaks, soothing vibes & scenic beauty of Chanshal valley, has its vast scattered campus located in the Centre of village Gangtoli covering the total area of land around "17 bhighas". The school being one of the oldest education institutions of the area with a glorious history since its inception is expected to be the pioneer institutes in the state. It came into existence after the independence as a Primary school and it was upgraded to middle school later on. Then In 1959 was again upgraded from middle to high school and was run at village Dashalini. Then under new education policy in 1986, the school got status of Senior Secondary School. In 1997 when the new school building was constructed, the school was shifted from Dashalini to present place-Gangtoli. The school has a big infrastructure divided into three blocks-Arts block, Science block and Examination block respectively. Since the school excels in all spheres & has lived up to its commitment towards society, truly deserves to be titled as a "Model School".
